“So proud to announce that I will be joining Average Joe S2 as Imani. Dropping on August 19th on @paramountplus !!
When hard work meets preparation and God’s timing, incredible things happen and the Godliest thing about dreams is that they come true. (freaks out in 9yr old me cause honestly she’s the one that first believed that we could!)”

Her heartfelt message gave followers a glimpse into how meaningful the role is for her, reflecting on years of hard work, preparation and believing in her dreams.

More recently, the actress also shared the official trailer for the new season, building even more excitement ahead of the show’s return.

Average Joe follows plumber Joe, played by Deon Cole, whose life changes forever after discovering that his recently deceased father had been living a secret life.

Joe soon learns that his father stole millions from dangerous people who now believe he is hiding the money. As the pressure mounts, he must race against time to uncover the truth while staying one step ahead of those determined to recover the missing fortune.

This season, the production and storyline will be centred in Cape Town, bringing a South African backdrop to the action-packed series. Nigerian-British actor Hakeem Kae-Kazim is also part of the cast, adding even more star power to the highly anticipated second season.

With a fresh storyline, a new South African setting and Katlego Lebohang joining the cast as Imani, season two promises to deliver more suspense, action and unexpected twists when it premieres on 19 August.
