Some individuals are truly lost in the haze of absurdity. Some have quite sickening ideologies.

Trust me, Reader, the last thing I would want to do is exaggerate.

Their inability to interpret and understand is what’s truly unfortunate though.

One can try and help them escape this haze, however, it is exceptionally difficult for such folks are quite dim-witted.

One thing I have learnt is that debating with them will certainly shut them up, however, it doesn’t often help them find their way back to sanity.

So, I am finding solace by writing this down.

Reader, kindly bear with me and ensure that you aren’t one of these individuals (and if you already are one, don’t worry, perhaps by the end of this, you won’t be).

Oppression disguised as modesty

Some think that covering oneself head-to-toe will make them modest.

However, let’s face the reality. They are merely hiding themselves and their identity.

I have encountered individuals who cover up their palms as well.

It inane and applaudable yet extremely unfortunate.

Covering one’s face takes away their identity.

“It’s to avoid the unwanted gaze”

Perhaps, this way men should be categorised as a disease.

After all, we do wear masks to avoid diseases.

I’m well aware of the fact that some might be against what I wrote above and misinterpret the sentiments.

That’s absolutely alright as some have been brainwashed in such a way that they don’t oppose polygamy either.

Some individuals keep ‘fasts’ for their spouse.

This is done in order to attain a long life for them or something of that sort.

(To be honest, this makes me laugh)

So, you’re starving and deteriorating your health in order to add a few extra years to your husband’s life?

Truly applaudable!

So, one fine day if a car runs over your husband, don’t you rush to the hospital. He ought to recover. You kept that fast, after all.

For the dim-wits,

Do you know what’s more important than respecting and following your inane ideologies and so-called modesty?

The ability to distinguish between what’s absurd and what’s correct and practical.
