Sony doubles down on controversial PlayStation decision

In a year of job losses, game cancellations, price hikes and studio closures, it's fair to say that Sony's announcement to end physical disc support for PlayStation is among the most controversial and unpopular. In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony confirmed that physical game disc production will end on January 2028.
