School Was Designed for a World That No Longer Exists

Our education system was perhaps once the easiest path to “winning” in life. It offered a clear formula, study well, earn good grades, obtain a degree, and secure a stable job. For a long time, that formula worked. But today, it no longer functions as the only, or even the main, standard for employment or for proving one’s value and capability.

Think about the world we are living in now. This is no longer an era where you can claim land simply by drawing borders and defending them. Most land, water sources, and strategic resources are already owned, controlled, or distributed by certain groups and institutions. The margin for new ownership is extremely small. We do not live in a safe, spacious, and predictable win-win world anymore. We live in a crowded, competitive system where access is limited and uncertainty is permanent.

Here is some proof that exists in Indonesia, where forests and natural resources are being transferred into capitalist hands and controlled by a small group of wealthy individuals.
