THE FUSE

Phahama Grain Phakama (PGP) is engaging with the North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to explore ways of strengthening support for farmers across the province. The discussions focus on creating stronger connections between farmers, agricultural support structures, mentors and government extension services. One of the key priorities is finding practical ways to unlock funding opportunities that can help farmers expand production and develop sustainable agricultural businesses. The engagement also seeks to connect PGP mentors with the Department’s extension officers so that farmers can receive more coordinated support on the ground. By bringing these different resources and areas of expertise together, the collaboration could create a stronger support network for farmers throughout the North West.
