On 25 August 2026, news broke that former Bayern Munich professionals Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels, Yann Sommer and Lucas Hernandez, together with the investment group LEAD/ADvantage, had acquired 90 per cent of the shares in Portuguese top-flight club Estrela Amadora for around €40 million.
