THE FUSE

With all the hype surrounding artificial intelligence (AI), it is unsurprising that fearmongering has taken root, especially when it comes to education. That fear, it turns out, is justified. At the start of this month, world-renowned scientific journal Nature published an article which revealed the problem has reached such concerning levels that universities are hiding “Trojan horse” prompts in assignments and redesigning exams that chat bots cannot pass. Why? Because they can no longer trust the work that is submitted.
