The world we inhabit is filled with dangerous ignorance and hate. This past year has been very bad. The environment has been perfect for infectious growth. They can survive in a range of climates and conditions. They particularly hide in dirt and dark internet websites. They have reproduced rapidly over the last few years because we arrogantly disregarded the danger of their spread.

This ignorance and hate seem to feed particularly on the transgender community. They are the most vulnerable population, and these emotional parasites instinctively know it.

Transgender people have become experts in recognizing the infection and its impact.

As transgender people, we encounter public ignorance and hate regularly:

Murder, violence, and the threat of violence against transgender individuals
Discrimination in public life
Bans on gender-affirming care for children and adults
Bathroom restrictions generally applied to transgender women
Sports participation bans for transgender children
Targeting schools that present the concept of gender identity, outing transgender children, and removing LGBTQ books from libraries
