Qhawekazi Mazaleni Encourages Women as Miss SA 2026 Entries Near Closing Date

There is only three days left for hopeful contestants to enter the Miss South Africa 2026 competition, and excitement continues to grow across the country.
The organisation previously announced on its official social media pages that entries for the competition opened on 28 April 2026 and will officially close on 17 May 2026. With the deadline fast approaching, many young women are rushing to submit their applications for the chance to compete for one of South Africa’s biggest pageant titles.
Current Miss South Africa 2025, Qhawekhazi Mazaleni, has also been encouraging women to take a chance on themselves and not allow fear or doubt to stop them from entering.
In a short clip shared online, Qhawekhazi opened up about her own experience when she first decided to enter the competition. She admitted that she also had moments of uncertainty and fear, but chose to push through those feelings.
She said, “Did I have doubts when I first entered Miss South Africa? Of course I did. But I constantly told myself that it I have any form of fear its means that I really care about what I’m doing. So, if you’re feeling it, take it as a sign that this is where you’re meant to be.”
Her message has inspired many supporters online, with fans praising her honesty and encouraging other young women to enter before submissions officially close.
