Actress and fashion designer Enhle Mbali is making a difference in the lives of young learners through her charitable efforts. The star recently visited Trinity Secondary School as part of a mission led by the We Care Foundation, where she focused on encouraging and supporting children in need.
Taking to Instagram, Enhle Mbali shared a heartfelt message about the importance of education and uplifting young people. She expressed that education should never be viewed as a privilege, but rather as something every child deserves.
“Education is not a privilege. It is the foundation of dignity, confidence, opportunity and freedom,” she wrote.
The actress explained that the We Care Foundation has started a journey of assisting schools across South Africa. According to her, the goal is not only to motivate and inspire learners, but also to understand the challenges schools face and help wherever possible.
“The We Care Foundation begins a journey in assisting schools – not only to motivate and inspire our children, but to listen, understand and assist where we can,” she shared.
Enhle Mbali also spoke about the reality many schools face, saying that several institutions continue trying to shape future leaders despite having little financial support. However, she praised both educators and learners for remaining passionate and determined.
“Too many schools are trying to shape future leaders with little to no financial support, and yet the passion of both educators and learners remains extraordinary,” she added.
The actress believes confidence can completely change the course of a child’s future. She shared that sometimes children simply need encouragement and reassurance that their dreams matter, regardless of where they come from.
“We believe confidence can change the direction of a child’s life. Sometimes all a young person needs is to be seen, encouraged and reminded that their dreams are valid no matter where they come from.”
Through the school tour initiative, the foundation hopes to bring hope, ambition, self-belief and practical support to children around the country.
“Through our school tour, we hope to pour hope, ambition, self-belief and practical support into the hearts of South African children – because every child deserves access to quality education, safe learning spaces and the opportunity to become everything they were created to be.”
She ended the message with a powerful dedication to the country’s youth, writing: “To the future of South Africa. Trinity Secondary School.”
The WeCare Foundation is known as a humanitarian organisation that focuses on improving communities through education, healthcare, poverty alleviation and emergency relief efforts.
