Masked Singer SA Reveals Some of the Masks for Season 3

The countdown to the highly anticipated third season of Masked Singer South Africa is almost over. The hit singing competition premieres on Saturday, 4 July at 7PM on SABC 2, and ahead of the big launch, the show has revealed six of the 16 masks that will be competing this season.

The official Instagram page for Masked Singer South Africa introduced the first group of mystery characters, giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect.

The page wrote: “Hebana! 0 The group chat is buzzing because six new masks just slid in. Meet Clock, Gogga, Chopsticks, Mosquito, Sushi and Protea, and trust us, they came to shake things up this season. CATCH THEM this SATURDAY, 4 JULY ON @sabc2 at 7PM!”

Along with unveiling the masks, the show also shared a description of each character’s personality.

Clock is described as: “Keeps everyone guessing. Nobody knows what’s next, but Clock always arrives at the perfect moment!”

Gogga is described as: “Curious, busy, and always exploring. Gogga has a habit of popping up where you least expect it!”

Chopsticks is described as: “Small frame, massive personality! Cute, cheerful, and loves a challenge.”

Mosquito is described as: “Bold, confident, and impossible to ignore. Mosquito stands tall and always commands attention.”

Sushi is described as: “Polished, mysterious, and full of secrets. Sushi reveals just enough to keep you guessing.”

Finally, Protea is described as: “Strong, resilient, and proud. Representing the national flower, Protea always finds a way to bloom.”

Season three will feature 16 celebrities competing in disguise for the coveted Golden Mask Trophy. As always, the stars will perform while hiding their identities behind spectacular costumes, leaving viewers and the celebrity detectives guessing who is behind each mask.

Fan-favourite comedian Mpho Popps returns as the host of the show. The panel of celebrity detectives will also be back, with Somizi Mhlongo, Skhumba, J’Something and Sithelo Shozi once again taking on the challenge of uncovering the famous faces behind the masks.

With only six masks revealed so far, fans still have plenty of guessing to do before the remaining contestants are introduced. As the mystery unfolds, viewers can look forward to another season packed with exciting performances, colourful costumes and surprising celebrity reveals.
