Saskatchewan Sets 2,600-Megawatt Nuclear Power Goal for 2050 With Plans for Two Large Reactors

Saskatchewan has set a goal of producing at least 2,600 megawatts of nuclear power by 2050, the provincial government announced Sept. 29. The plan, titled Delivering Energy Security Through Nuclear Power, directs the provincial utility SaskPower to begin planning for the potential development of two large nuclear reactors in the province's northwest.
