THE FUSE

As a groceries editor, I spend a lot of time in markets — both for my job and, well, the love of the game. I’ve clocked thousands of hours in pure aisle-perusing time, and in the process I’ve become more familiar with everything grocery stores have to offer. There’s the deli, where I get some of the best sandwiches; the butcher, where I get tips on buying the best meat; and even the checkout aisle, where I get advice for saving some extra cash from cashiers.
