When Catherine Entwistle acquired Val du Charron in 2006 with her husband, they weren't simply buying a wine farm in Wellington. They were taking on a derelict property with more than three centuries of history, set within a landscape shaped by the Cape's early agricultural heritage and later known as the Valley of the Wagonmakers.
