After playing most of the season as a central defender, Kaizer Chiefs target Bright Ndlovu has been moved to a striker role.
The 25-year-old found the target in three consecutive games: AmaZulu, Magesi FC and Stellenbosch FC.

As previously reported, Amakhosi began talks to sign Ndlovu from Sekhukhune ahead of next season.
The following campaign saw Ndlovu gain further experience in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with Kruger United, before returning to Eric Tinkler’s squad at the start of the current season.

Before that, his performances at Jomo Cosmos in 2024 had caught the attention of Sekhukhune United. It was where he had first made his mark in the ABC Motsepe League at just 19.
Born in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, the towering centre-back developed at amateur sides including Express FC, Hashtag FC and Sumersat United in the Lilydale area.
AMAKHOSI PREPARE TO FACE ORLANDO PIRATES IN THE SOWETO DERBY
In the meantime, Kaizer Chiefs are focused on the second Soweto derby of the 2025/26 season. After losing 3-0 to Pirates in March, the two giants face up at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
The Glamour Boys are currently enjoying a superb run of six games without a defeat. Before last weekend’s 0-0 draw with Polokwane, Kaizer Chiefs marked five straight wins. They edged Durban City 1–0 at home.
They followed that up with a 2–0 win over Magesi FC on 21 March, before securing a convincing 3–1 away victory against Orbit College on 6 April. The momentum carried on with a 2–0 triumph over TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium on 12 April. Then then an emphatic 4–1 away win in their second clash with Magesi FC on 15 April.

Their five-game winning streak was eventually halted on 18 April, when Amakhosi were held to a goalless draw by Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, a result that still stretched their unbeaten league run to six matches.
