Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase from The Mommy Club has shared a touching message to her 2024 self, reflecting on one of the most difficult periods of her life and celebrating how far she has come in 2026.

In the emotional message, Nozipho looked back on a year filled with fear, uncertainty and heartbreak. She spoke about grieving the future she thought she was building and worrying about what lay ahead for herself and her children.

In her letter, she wrote: “Dear 2024 Me, I know how scared you were. You were grieving the future you thought you were building, terrified of the unknown, and carrying a deep fear for your children. Night after night, you wondered if they would be okay, if you would be okay.”

Nozipho’s difficult year came after a major change in her personal life. In 2024, her husband of 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, officially took a second wife.

In a statement shared in March 2024, Zola confirmed that he was in the process of marrying another woman and that lobola negotiations were taking place at the time.

“I have noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife, Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to unfair treatment characterised by abuse and stigmatisation,” Zola said in the statement.

The situation was also highlighted during season two of The Mommy Club, where Nozipho opened up about the emotional impact it had on her and her children.

In one emotional scene, she broke down while discussing how the decision had changed the future she had imagined for her family.

“The plan has changed, and I find that this plan has changed only to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain,” Nozipho said while crying. “So, I am not happy with the plan, and I don’t think it’s fair because what am I going to do?”

She continued: “You spend 17 years building with someone, you spend your whole life not having to worry if someone will be there for birthdays and Christmases. You spend the rest of your life planning that when we are both 50 years old, we are going to do this and that — and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the plan changes.”

The stress of that period took a toll on Nozipho and her family. In her recent letter, she revealed that she experienced hair loss and that even her twins were affected.

“The stress took its toll. Your hair was falling out, and even your little twins experienced hair loss. It broke your heart because it felt like the pain had touched everything you loved.”

During that difficult time, the beach became her place of comfort and peace. “I remember the beach. It became your safe haven, the one place where you could escape your reality. The waves didn’t judge your swollen eyes, your weight loss, or the exhaustion in your soul.”

“But in the middle of that pain, you made the best decision of your life: to surrender to God. Not because you weren’t afraid, but because you couldn’t carry the weight anymore. You chose to trust God with the chapters you couldn’t understand.”

Reflecting on where she is today, Nozipho said she is still healing and growing but remains grateful for how far she has come.

“Here we are in 2026. Still healing. Still growing. Still scared sometimes. But moving forward. God has been faithful.”

She thanked her younger self for not giving up during the darkest moments and for continuing to trust God despite the uncertainty.

“The pain did not have the final word. The fear did not define your future. What felt impossible to carry became the place where God met you with His strength, grace, and unwavering presence.”

Nozipho ended her letter with a message inspired by Romans 8:18, reminding herself that difficult seasons do not last forever and that better days are ahead.

“A reminder that the suffering of this present time is not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed. One day, you will look back and see that God was working through every moment, redeeming what was broken and leading you toward something greater than you imagined. Love, Your 2026 Self.”
