Nuances of Postpartum Psychosis — Physiology Over Psychology

A central premise in this perspective is that all psychology is physiology at its core. Emotions, behaviors, thoughts, perceptions, and beliefs are emergent properties of underlying mitochondrial, cellular, metabolic, endocrinologic, immunologic, and neurologic phenomena.
