DA Cruz’s plea to Kaizer Chiefs supporters this season

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has called on fans to get behind the team this weekend.
Amakhosi play newcomers Kruger United at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday evening in their first Betway Premiership match of the season.
Coming from a 1-0 win over Scotland FC in the Toyota Cup pre-season match, Chiefs will be confident especially with four new signings.
Da Cruz, who will be in charge of his first official match, admitted that Kaizer Chiefs will need the support of the 12th man not just on Saturday but throughout the season.
“For us, it’s our 12th man. I hope they’ll be behind us all season because the season is going to be tough,” he said as per iDiski Times.
“I hope they will continue to come and support us inside the stadium because we need 12 men to win all our games.
“We need 12 men to win all our games.”
Da Cruz has a huge task as Chiefs coach
Amakhosi finished third last season behind rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. Under a new coach, expectations are to fight for the league as well as winning atleast one cup competition.
A third place finish and a trophy will be a great start to Da Cruz’s tenure. A total of four players have been signed including Bafana Bafana srars Renaldo Leaner and Thabo Moloisane.
If Da Cruz is to succeed at Kaizer Chiefs coach, he will need to bring two or three top players who can elevate the team especially in attacking areas.
