South African award-winning musician Makhadzi, is celebrating a major milestone in a special way. As she marks her 30th birthday, the Limpopo-born star has revealed that she is building the dream home she has always wanted.

The singer, who celebrated her birthday on June 30, shared the exciting news with her fans on Facebook. She revealed that she has gifted herself a mansion, with construction already underway. Makhadzi also posted photos of the building site, showing that the house plans have been completed and work has officially started.

Sharing her joy, she wrote, “Sometimes years back I asked myself what’s the plan for my 30th. And all came to my mind was to move out from my parents house at the village.. 30th came and all the manifestation is happening. Meet my 6 month project.. mosadi ke stina.

“I knew one day I am gonna build my dream house it was just the matter of time. Congratulations to myself I am really proud of myself.

“This is your home don’t pass with hungry stomach, don’t forget you raised me I just decided not to disappoint you by using my money doing stupid things. This all became of you Khadzinators.”

Many of her followers filled the comments section with congratulatory messages, praising her achievement and wishing her well as she begins this new chapter.

However, some social media users questioned why she chose to build her dream home in a rural area instead of in the city.

Ngoako Moropene commented, “Building a house cash in a rural area is the greatest dignified investment to live a comfortable life even after you have retired or when you are no longer active to make more money. This is awesome. Well-done.”

BaTshegi-Keo Ntshekisang Makgaola also defended the singer’s decision, writing, “Those who are busy saying in the bush, guys if you want to live in town or ko kasi good for you. But Makhadzi chose village it’s fine that’s her choice. I mean if she wanted a town house, she would’ve gone for it right.”

Responding to the comment, Makhadzi replied, “lol I have houses.. in town.. not just town in Fourways Sandton.”

Another follower, Tusekire Katuli, commented, “In the middle of nowhere?, congratulations though.”

Makhadzi responded with humour, saying, “Lol Yes me alone nje. I am kidding I will share a video soon you will see my neighbours. The pictures were taken before I can have neighbours.”
