Reality TV star Vuyokazi Nciweni recently shared highlights from her experience when Turkey’s leading surgery clinic, Mono Clinic, visited South Africa in March 2026. The clinic hosted a special expert event that gave women the opportunity to meet master surgeons and specialists in person to consult about aesthetic surgery, weight loss surgery and cosmetic surgery.
The event took place in Johannesburg on 4 and 5 March 2026 at the Radisson Blu, and later in Cape Town on 7 and 8 March 2026 at The Annex. Many women attended the sessions to learn more about the different procedures offered by the clinic and to ask questions directly to medical professionals.
Among the well-known faces present were actress and reality TV star Khanyi Mbau, actress and media personality Simphiwe Ngema, and reality TV personality Vuyokazi Nciweni.
All three women previously had procedures done at Mono Clinic. Vuyokazi Nciweni had a mommy makeover, which included a tummy tuck and liposuction. Simphiwe Ngema also underwent a mommy makeover. Meanwhile, Khanyi Mbau had surgery in 2024, including a blepharoplasty to remove extra skin from her eyelids and a subnasal lip lift to enhance the shape of her lips.
For Vuyokazi, her transformation journey started long before the mommy makeover. In March 2025, she travelled to Istanbul where she underwent gastric sleeve surgery, a procedure that reduces the size of the stomach to help with weight loss.
Earlier in 2025, she spoke openly about the decision in a YouTube vlog. She explained that she had struggled with weight loss for many years, which is why she chose the procedure.
“I actually came for a gastric sleeve surgery/weight loss surgery. It’s something that I thought would be good for me because I am actually struggling with losing weight,” she said.
Later in a previous interview with DRUM in September 2025, Vuyokazi shared the reason she decided to go ahead with a mommy makeover after losing weight.
“I wasn’t happy with how my body looked, especially after I lost weight. I had a lot of excess skin, particularly my tummy, and my breasts had no support; they were literally hanging, and it wasn’t nice standing in front of the mirror and seeing myself like that. I genuinely didn’t enjoy being overweight. Plus, surgery for me was a more efficient solution rather than a lengthy gym routine, and I’m 100% happy with the results,” she said.
“The recovery process is a bit tedious, but I take it one day at a time. My back is still swollen as they had to transfer fat from the back for my tummy tuck, but it’s not as bad because initially I couldn’t stand up straight, but now I can, and I’m recovering well.”
