Five political parties have declared a total of R35 018 798.82 in donations for the third quarter of the 2025 to 2026 financial year.

The reporting period covers 1 September to 31 December 2025. Parties had to submit their reports to the Electoral Commission by 31 January 2026.

The DA declared the biggest amount. It reported R31 289 988.26 in donations. About R30.1 million was in cash. Just over R1.1 million was in kind, meaning goods or services instead of money.

Two major donations of R10 million each came from Fynbos Ekwiteit Pty Ltd and Ball Family Trust. The party also received R4 670 000 from Lawrin Investment Limited, a foreign company based in Jersey. The money was set aside for training and skills development and meets the rules of the Political Funding Act.

ActionSA declared R1 467 000. This includes two late donations worth R420 000. Most of its money, R1 267 000, came from party leader Herman Mashaba. Another R200 000 came from Lephatsi Investment Pty Ltd.

Build One South Africa declared an in kind donation of R103 481 from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The IFP also received an in kind donation from the same donor worth R158 329.56.
