If you're a PlayStation user and you want to chat with friends and teammates when playing online, then you may want to check your emails. In order to comply with global regulations, Sony requires a one-time age check from all PlayStation users. According to an email sent by Sony, age verification will need to be completed in order to "avoid interruptions later in 2026".
