Deputy Minister Nokuzola Capa joined North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development MEC Madoda Sambatha in Taung to highlight practical opportunities for farmers across the agricultural value chain. The engagement focused on lucerne production, value addition, farmer support and the development of agricultural enterprises in the area. The programme included practical demonstrations showing how lucerne can be planted, harvested, baled and processed into pellets. It also marked the launch of Jantjies Boerdery and Lucerne Value Add, adding a business development dimension to the agricultural activities. The engagements demonstrated how production, processing and farmer support can work together to create opportunities within the agricultural sector in Taung.
