Meta developing camera-free smart glasses to address privacy concerns

Meta is preparing to expand its wearable portfolio with a camera-free pair of smart glasses, codenamed “Luna,” aimed at mitigating privacy and surveillance concerns associated with head-worn cameras. According to a report from The Information, the company plans to preview the device at its annual Meta Connect conference on September 23 and 24, with commercial shipments expected to begin as early as October.
