Sarah Langa Speaks Out After Luggage Theft in Paris

South African media influencer Sarah Langa has shared her frustration after discovering that several of her belongings were allegedly stolen from her luggage during a trip to Paris, France.
Taking to TikTok, Sarah explained that what was meant to be an exciting vacation quickly turned into a disappointing experience after she arrived at her hotel and found that her suitcase had been tampered with.

“Imagine landing and getting to your hotel to find that your luggage has been broken into at the airport and all of your shoes and all your sunglasses have been stolen.
Thank you Air France for ruining my vacation before it even started.”
Sarah also expressed her disappointment in the caption of her TikTok video, where she detailed the extent of the loss.
“No one ever speaks of the horrors of travelling….This is not okay @Air France over 6/7k of items stolen from my luggage at the airport? I was basically walking around barefoot for my entire retreat vacation.”
In the video, the influencer showed the condition of her suitcase and revealed that the lock had been jammed. She explained that several personal items were missing by the time she opened her luggage.
“Everything that was here is gone, stolen. I think they took one of my bikinis as well.”
The incident left Sarah upset and shocked, especially as it happened at the beginning of her trip. Losing essential items such as shoes, sunglasses and clothing meant she had to spend part of her vacation dealing with the aftermath instead of fully enjoying her retreat.
Many social media users reacted to the video, with some sharing their own travel horror stories while others sympathised with Sarah over the loss of her belongings.
Despite the ordeal, Sarah later reassured her followers that she was doing better. Responding to comments on the TikTok post, she admitted that the experience had initially brought her to tears.
“I cried about it, im fine. Just sharing this so yall can be careful. Book another airline, cos this violation? it’s not worth it.”
