Scotland 121-4 (19.5 overs): Bryce 39, Carter 30; Toua 1-24

Scotland won by six wickets

Scotland survived a final-over thriller to beat Papua New Guinea by six wickets and maintain their 100% record at the Women's Emerging Nations Trophy in Bangkok.

Rachel Slater struck the winning four runs from the penultimate delivery as they chased a 119-run total.

Chloe Abel had earlier prevented a more commanding target being posted as she delivered a triple-wicket maiden on the way to her first international five-wicket haul.

Hollan Doriga had posted an impressive 63 after Papua New Guinea elected to bat first, but they lost six wickets for 18 runs in the final 31 deliveries to finish 118 for eight.

Despite Darcey Carter's 30 and Ellen Watson scoring 26 after losing Ailsa Lister (4), Scotland were behind the required run rate when Sarah Bryce and Megan McColl came together at 74-3 and required 45 from the final 33 deliveries.

However, Bryce struck an unbeaten 29-ball 39 and, although McColl was run out for 14 to leave the Scots needing five from four deliveries, Slater secured the victory.

Abel, whose five wickets came for the loss of only 13 runs, told Cricket Scotland: "It's really nice to contribute to a nice win like that, but credit to the whole team, the batters did a really good job at the end."

Scotland, the only side to have won all five of their matches in the eight-team tournament, face the Netherlands, who have won three, on Friday.
