He sang the president's praises for brokering the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians. Orban also repeated the US president's claims that if Trump had been in power in 2022, Russia would never have started its war against Ukraine. This is all part of Orban's "peace rhetoric" — a cornerstone of the Hungarian prime minister's current election campaign.
