Karabo Peter Lands Major Career Move with Jacaranda FM

South African sports broadcaster Karabo Peter has officially joined Jacaranda FM as the new sports presenter on the station’s popular afternoon drive show, The Drive with Rob & Roz.
Peter made her debut on Monday, 3 August 2026, where she now joins hosts Rob Forbes and Rozanne McKenzie every weekday from 4pm to 7pm, bringing listeners the latest sports news, analysis and stories.
The appointment marks another significant milestone in Peter’s broadcasting career, which has seen her establish herself as one of South Africa’s promising young sports journalists.
She first stepped into broadcasting through community radio before working as a freelance sports reporter for YFM. Peter later joined VOW 88.1 FM, where she spent two years as a sports anchor on the station’s drive-time show. Beyond radio, she has also contributed to SABC’s The Journos Vodcast and is a writer for Good Things Guy, where she covers uplifting stories from across the country.
Speaking about her new role, Peter said she was excited to become part of Jacaranda FM’s award-winning team.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Jacaranda FM’s The Drive with Rob & Roz. What drew me to the station isn’t just its reputation as South Africa’s number one feel-good station, but its genuine commitment to making a difference beyond the airwaves.”
