Ashley Ogle Explains Why She Kept Her Pregnancy Private

Former Big Brother Mzansi star and content creator Big Brother Mzansi Ashley Ogle has opened up about why she chose to keep her pregnancy private. The reality TV personality, who recently welcomed her baby boy, went live on TikTok to explain her decision not to share her journey with the public.

The video, which was shared by @Swazi on TikTok, shows Ashley speaking honestly about why she did not post pregnancy content. She made it clear that there would be no pregnancy vlog or glamorous updates. She said, “There is no journey vlog, I was not there in the mirror standing with pictures posing in all different directions. To me it was an embarrassment because you shouldn’t be making children if you’re not married biblically. So, I was like hiding from the shame and that’s how it should be. But nevertheless, I’ve prayed for my sins now and i know that God has forgiven me for what I’ve done.”

Ashley also shared that she did not have a maternity photoshoot. For her, it simply was not something she felt comfortable doing. She said, “I don’t do mushy stuff. I don’t do such things. I find it so cringe.”

Despite keeping her pregnancy out of the public eye, Ashley surprised fans when she announced the birth of her son on Instagram on Saturday, 14 February 2026. In a touching Valentine’s Day post, she introduced her baby boy, Kenzo-Lu, to the world.

She referred to her son as her forever Valentine. Sharing beautiful pictures of her baby boy, she wrote, “Happy valentines to my forever valentine. It’s just been you and I against the world, playing hide and go seek. We’re hiding and everyone seek. Looks like they found us and now we’re “IT”. Let’s go seeking shall we? The world is a beautiful place, the people are amazing, the earth is green, the animals are beautiful and God is irreplaceable. I love you forever Kenzo-Lu.”

Her post quickly melted hearts online, with many fans congratulating her and sending messages of love. While Ashley chose privacy during her pregnancy, she is now proudly embracing motherhood and sharing her joy with the world.
