Polokwane’s sewage treatment works are among the worst in the country. All three of the municipality’s wastewater treatment works (WWTW) – Seshego, Polokwane and Mankweng – are in a critical state, scoring a combined average of just 23% on the latest 2025 Green Drop Report compiled by the Department of Water and Sanitation.
