Pain Is Temporary — My Take on the FCPS Journey

The FCPS journey is far more than an exam; it is a test of resilience, discipline, and inner strength. Students push themselves beyond their comfort zones, sacrificing time, sleep, and personal life to chase a dream that demands everything. In this long and often lonely path, one thing becomes clear: winners are simply those who refuse to give up.
One moment from my own journey deeply inspired me. I saw a white-haired student, easily above 50 years old, confidently walking into the examination hall. At an age when most people slow down, he was chasing a goal many half his age hesitate to pursue. That sight reminded me that age is nothing but a number. Dreams have no expiry date, and passion doesn’t fade unless we allow it to.
Failure and pain are part of this process, but they are temporary. They may slow you down, but they should never break you. I personally failed my viva once. The disappointment was real, but instead of letting it consume me, I chose to return to the library the very next morning. My friends joked that I was being “manic,” but my response was simple: “I have to clear this exam why waste even a single minute?” There is no benefit in crying over spilled milk. Move forward, learn from the setback, and keep going.
Today, I am grateful I didn’t clear the exam on my first attempt. If success had come too easily, I wouldn’t have learned resilience or understood the true value of perseverance. Struggle builds character. It teaches patience, strengthens focus, and prepares you for the challenges ahead. Easy victories rarely offer growth, but difficult journeys shape you into the person you're meant to become.
In the end, knowledge is true power. Embrace the process, no matter how tough it feels. Stay committed to your goals, believe in your abilities, and remember: pain is temporary, but the success that follows your hard work will stay with you forever. Keep going your moment will come.
