Do you remember in like 2012, when seemingly everything had a bird on it? Sparrows, owls, and murders of crows stamped on necklaces, earrings, and tote bags galore — so much so that this “put a bird on it” sketch may never leave my brain. I say all this to give context to why “put [a] bacon on it” is so core to my cooking ethos. In fact, I think we should all put little bacon bits on more things.
