Zanele Potelwa Grateful After Hosting the SAMAs

Award-winning radio and TV presenter Zanele Potelwa has shared a heartfelt message of gratitude after co-hosting the South African Music Awards alongside rapper Cassper Nyovest.
The highly anticipated music awards took place on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at the Sun City Super Bowl in the North West, where some of South Africa’s biggest names in music and entertainment came together for the prestigious ceremony.
Zanele looked absolutely stunning while hosting the awards, wearing five different outfits and dresses throughout the night. Her fashion moments added even more glamour to an already exciting evening, but it was her experience on the stage and the people she worked with that appeared to mean the most to her.
After a successful night of co-hosting the SAMAs and holding a bouquet of flowers, Zanele took to social media to thank everyone who watched, supported and celebrated her on the big night.

I had the time of my life and it was because of all the incredible people that I got to work with. Thank you for always just talking behind me”
Her message showed just how much the opportunity to host one of South Africa’s biggest music awards meant to her. Rather than simply celebrating the spotlight and the glamorous occasion, Zanele made sure to acknowledge the people who helped make the experience special.
She also received an outpouring of congratulations from celebrities following the ceremony, with many praising her performance and celebrating the successful night.
