Zimbabwean-born singer, songwriter and guitarist Berita is ready to bring her soulful sound to audiences across South Africa as she unveils her Spring and Summer Gig Guide.

Known for her distinctive Afro-soul sound and captivating live performances, Berita has lined up a series of performances that will take her from East London to Johannesburg, Pretoria and beyond. The singer shared the exciting schedule with her fans, giving them plenty of opportunities to catch her live as the warmer months approach.

Alongside the dates, Berita highlighted just how much performing means to her. Captioning her gig guide, she wrote: “I love performing live. Whether it’s an intimate event or a big stage, count me in. I love singing my heart out.”

Her live journey kicks off on Friday, 29 August 2025, in East London, where she will perform at Hidden Experience alongside fellow South African singer Ami Faku. The following day, Saturday, 30 August, Berita will head to Dainfern in Johannesburg for the Zor Dainfern Women’s Month Celebration.

The busy schedule continues into September. On Friday, 5 September, she will perform at the Ba Di Katara Street Festival at Kwanodumo Street in Nellmapius Ext 2, Pretoria. She will then return to East London on Friday, 19 September, for the Afika M Beyond Beauty Experience, followed by the Beever Agency 20 Year Celebration on Thursday, 25 September.

Berita will also take the stage at a corporate event on Thursday, 2 October, before rounding off the listed performances on Friday, 5 December, at Soul Therapy at the Sam Ntuli Sports Centre in Thokoza, Joburg.

But the gig guide is not the only milestone Berita has recently celebrated. The singer also opened up about turning 35, sharing a deeply personal reflection on her birthday, which she celebrated later than usual.

“A very belated happy birthday to me. I’m a winter baby, and it’s been a cold one.I didn’t want any attention on my birthday this year. I just wanted to be.
A few months later, I feel the urge to share where I am.
Recently turned 30 fine (35) and I must say… I love it over here. I feel grounded. I feel good. It feels like l’ve been growing roots.
There’s something really beautiful about feeling more at home in yourself. cheers to 35 and I’m glad to be here.”

With a packed performance calendar and a new appreciation for where she is in life, Berita appears to be stepping into 35 with both confidence and gratitude — and, naturally, with a microphone in hand.
