Mr Bennedict Mhlongo of Benica Farm in Rooiboklagte near Acornhoek has become a symbol of optimism and resilience in the face of natural disasters. His vegetable farming project suffered significant setbacks during the recent heavy rains and floods in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality. Thousands of seedlings were lost, fencing was damaged, and critical farm infrastructure was destroyed.
