“Why are women so confusing, and what do they even want?”
It’s a question most men ask at least once in their lives. So let’s answer it honestly. Not defensively. Not politely. Honestly.
Women are not confusing. Women are tired.
Most of us grew up watching our mothers suffer. Quietly. Constantly. Emotionally, physically, mentally, and especially financially. We admired their strength, but we also learned something early on:
I won’t live like this.
Not because she was weak. But because she carried too much for too long, without choice, without rest, without recognition. We are not here to repeat our mother’s pain. We are here to end it.
A woman’s life is a battlefield. One inside her mind, and one in the world around her.
Out of nowhere, we hear things like:
“No career? Well, at least you can get married.”
As if marriage is a consolation prize. As if it is rest. As if it is not unpaid labor on top of emotional labor. Women today are more serious about their careers than ever, not because we hate love, but because time is always used against us.
