Only those people who are either ignorant, making profit from fossil fuels, selling ICE vehicles or are .mentally damaged, cannot see the impending disaster.

Personally, I’d love to see them, as a group, move to Miami, or a coastal Louisiana community and await the impending flood.

Or maybe they’d rather live in a small heavily forested community in California or Washington and await the impending wild-land fire?

Possibly, they should operate a farm that now depends on the Ogallala aquifer, which is rapidly decreasing in size and capacity. Right?

Or maybe they should all be dependent upon the ocean for their livelihoods, as acidification and temperature rise kill or displace the sea life they depend upon?

I mean, come on. The temperature off the Florida coast only rose to 103 F., this last summer. You didn’t see the ocean boiling, right?

The best part is still to come, so get a good seaside ring-seat. Maybe when the Thwaites glacier slides into the Antarctic Ocean and the glaciers contained behind it follow, you’ll have time to sell your home, or if you’re a Floridian, move to Georgia or a higher point in South Carolina. You’ll love all the islands created, so hopefully you’ll have oceanfront property, right?

How about living in temperatures of 40 C., in the winter? Oh such fun.

And I hope you love storms because the number of flash floods, amount of coastal erosion and tidal surge during hurricanes is going to make your property so valuable, you’ll think your living in, (as your presidential dullard states), “in some shithole country”.

Well, soon enough.

Global climate change is occurring so fast that there will be an estimated 25 million to 1 billion climate change refugees by 2050. Many of those by 2030. And guess where they’re going to want to go?

Yup, good ole Trumpistan. The place where the Statue of Liberty states; “Give me your poor, your tired huddled masses yearning to breathe free…”

Absolutely. Oh you can close your borders and deport as many as show up, but the inequality, anger and then hate will create conditions in the U.S. where it has to deploy the U.S. army to protect its shores or shut down air travel and commerce to isolate itself from the outcomes.

No?

Just watch.

And one of the most profound problems facing the U.S. in short order is going to be the unavailability of water. Extreme heat, drought cycles, natural disasters, the failure of agriculture and ecosystems from crop yields to disappearing fish stocks, to harm to livestock, and the failure of entire ecosystems is about to begin.

According to NASA (cited above) the affects by region, will be profound.

But, there’s little point in citing the “thousands of scientific papers and major reports sounding the alarm about the potentially irreversible and catastrophic consequences of continued warming. It is not a matter of a few isolated studies but a vast scientific consensus.

IPCC report have published multiple assessments over decades. These reports involve hundreds of scientists reviewing thousands of scientific papers.

The World Scientists Warning to Humanity published in 1992, signed by more than 1,700 doctorally qualified scientists in 2020, garnered nearly 15,000 scientist signatures from 158 countries.

But what the hell do they know? Right?

America has the U.S. government’s Lee Zeldin, a man who possesses a bachelor’s degree in political science making decisions on behalf of the EPA. A professional Republican politician, so talented, who needs real scientists, right?

Yup America, so talented, so intelligent.

In a world where scientific consensus through the analysis of peer-reviewed literature from 1991 to 2019 has shown that the scientific consensus on human-caused, anthropogenic human caused climate change and its dangers has reached nearly 100%, America doubles down on Donald J. Trump’s “intellectual prowess”, oh so bigly.

America looks like an ostrich with its head stuck in a highway of asphalt while coming at it is a Mack truck at 80 mph.

Ostrich meat.

That’s America’s future.

And once it arrives, insurance companies will fold, the housing market will collapse, factories will close, gas prices will quintuple and the medical system will become overwhelmed.

Well America, fortunately you’ll have your ignorance, hate, racism and retribution to keep you warm.

Obviously, it isn’t just Trump who has dementia.
