Eastern Cape Farmers Engaged on Draft Regulations for Land Preservation

The Eastern Cape is hosting a provincial consultation workshop on Draft Regulations for the Preservation and Development of Agricultural Land Act 39 of 2024 at the EL ICC from 19 to 20 February 2026. The workshop brings together farmers’ associations, provincial departments, municipalities, higher learning institutions, and commodity organizations to discuss how the new regulations will affect farming operations. Farmers are gaining the opportunity to provide input, ask questions, and understand how the regulations will guide land use, protect productive farmland, and support sustainable agricultural practices across the province.
