Africa facing $10bn to $20bn economic hit from ‘super’ El Niño, AfDB climate chief warns

An impending “super” El Niño is likely to inflict a combined $10bn to $20bn (R167.3bn to R334.59) hit on affected African countries and trigger mass migration from hard-hit areas, says the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) top climate expert.
