THE FUSE

I’ve lived with a psychotic disorder for 10 years now, and I wouldn’t be here without the devoted support from my father. He has been one of the few people who can bring out my true self while also accepting my psychotic symptoms as part of my whole person. He has been kind yet assertive when reminding me of the reality that I live in. As a result of our recovery “teamwork,” I have accomplished a lot. I got two master’s degrees, live in New York City, and am now a writer.
