American billionaire Bill Gates’s foundation commits $50 million to cut stillbirths

The Gates Foundation, the philanthropy led under the direction of billionaire Bill Gates, and the U.S. nonprofit Wellcome Leap said on Monday they will commit $100 million to a new program to prevent stillbirths, starting with partners in sub-Saharan Africa, the region that carries almost half the world’s burden.
