Birkenstock has spent the past few years proving that comfort and high fashion can quite happily co-exist in one shoe. Its latest collaboration, however, brings a particularly persuasive clash of personalities. Etro has taken the German brand’s famously pragmatic footwear and sent it on a more bohemian detour, covering familiar silhouettes with the decorative language that has defined the Milanese luxury fashion house for decades.
