Nasty C Salutes The Fans And Team Behind His SAMA32 Victory. South African hip-hop heavyweight Nasty C is celebrating a major career milestone while giving fans a glimpse of what is coming next.
The Durban-born rapper took to social media to thank his team and fans after his Best Hip Hop Album win at the 32nd South African Music Awards for his 2025 independent album, Free.
“Hip Hop Album of the Year None of this happens without the team, the grind, and most importantly, all of you streaming and keeping the culture alive. Appreciate every single one of you!!!” Nasty C wrote.
The award represents a significant moment for Free, which arrived on September 12, 2025, through Nasty C’s Tall Racks Records imprint following his departure from Def Jam.
The album became a statement of independence for the rapper, combining his trademark lyricism with melodic and experimental sounds. The project also brought together a notable line-up of collaborators, including Blxckie, Usimamane, DJ Speedsta, Tellaman and Tshego.
Rather than keeping the spotlight on himself, Nasty C used his victory post to acknowledge the wider team responsible for bringing the album to life, as well as the fans whose continued support has helped sustain his independent run.
But while Free continues to collect recognition, Nasty C is already looking towards his next chapter.
“Pre-save my brand new album T’s and C’s Apply right now through the link in my bio,” he added.

T’s & C’s Apply, also styled as Ts and Cs Apply, is the highly anticipated collaborative album Nasty C has been preparing with fellow Durban artist and longtime collaborator Tellaman.
The title plays on the phrase “Terms and Conditions Apply” while also referencing the initials of the two artists. The 17-track project is scheduled for independent release on September 1, 2026, through Tall Racks and Select Play.
The upcoming album is expected to explore a warmer, more R&B-driven direction, with Nasty C previously describing it as a “winter album” built around cosy vibes and an opportunity for him to embrace his singing side.
Fans were given an early taste of the collaboration in July when a four-track EP preview arrived, featuring songs such as “Call Me” and “Come Over”, which feature Nigerian singer Oxlade.
For Nasty C, the timing could hardly be more fitting. As Free earns another piece of hardware, the rapper is already moving towards a new creative era alongside Tellaman.
The SAMA32 victory may have closed one chapter, but with T’s & C’s Apply now on the horizon, Nasty C is making it clear that the next one is already underway.
