Melissa Nayimuli is celebrating love and special milestones in her life. The beauty queen recently took to Instagram to wish her fiancé, filmmaker Mandla N, a happy birthday with a touching message and a collection of sweet photos.

Melissa shared some of her favourite pictures of Mandla and opened up about how their love story began. In the heartfelt post, she reflected on the moment she first realised she had feelings for him.

“Some of my favourite stills of you. It took just one date for me to fall for you (my friends know I tried to play it cool). But, in my defence, your spirit, kindness, laughter, and love for life were so infectious, I had no choice in the matter! Fast forward to a couple of years later, and none of that has changed. To the most loving, kind-hearted, and humble man I know, Happy Birthday my love! Love you forever.”

Fans quickly filled the comment section with birthday wishes for Mandla and messages celebrating the couple’s love.

The birthday celebration comes shortly after the couple marked another important step in their relationship. In March, Melissa and Mandla held a beautiful lobola celebration with their families. Melissa shared stunning photos from the intimate event on Instagram. Wearing a breathtaking traditional outfit, she looked radiant as she celebrated the cultural milestone with Mandla and their loved ones.

In her post about the day, she wrote: “Chosi Chosi…. We are still feeling so overwhelmed with the love and support we’ve received from our families. What a blessed day! So happy, so in love.”

Melissa also spoke about her colourful lobola dress, which featured bright and eye-catching colours. She shared that the dress was something she had always dreamed of wearing.

“My dream lobola dress. I wanted my bridal wardrobe to feel fun, elegant, modern, and uniquely me, and my friend @stephen_van_eeden brought that vision to life so beautifully! I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to shoot this dress again, it exceeded every expectation. Truly the best wedding gift.”

Aside from celebrating their relationship milestones, the couple has also been travelling together. Just a few days ago, Melissa shared that they were in Europe for a special opportunity with Netflix.

She shared her excitement on Instagram, writing: “POV: You go back to school but this time it’s in Paris … with Netflix. I’ve spent the last couple of days learning, unlearning, and being inspired by some of the most brilliant creatives from around the world! I’ll forever be grateful for this experience, thank you so much Netflix for this incredible Invitation!!!”
