Northern Cape Agricultural Incubator Launched to Boost Economic Growth and Support Emerging Farmers

On 20 March 2026, the Minister for Small Business Development, Stella Tembisa Ndabeni-Abrahams, alongside MEC Motlhaping and MEC Venus Blennies-Magage, officially launched the Northern Cape Agricultural Incubator (NCAI), marking a major milestone for agricultural development in the province. The incubator is designed to drive economic growth, enhance agricultural sustainability, and strengthen the Northern Cape’s emerging economy. By targeting emerging farmers, smallholders, commercial farmers, and cooperatives led by women and youth, the initiative aims to provide practical support that addresses key challenges in the agricultural sector. The launch reflects a strategic focus on empowering entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. Through this platform, the province is positioning itself as a hub for agricultural development and market integration.
