With tiny unicorns, rocking horses, shrimp, skulls, lips, and sneakers, Cj Hendry’s newest exhibition is a mélange of roughly a million pastel beads that reference the artist’s visual world. On view at Salon 94 Design on New York’s Upper East Side from August 6-16, the aptly named Pastel invites visitors to interact with the art by reaching (or diving?) into a vast, swimming pool-sized pit of chunky plastic beads.
