THE FUSE

Being hurt by someone close to you can cause potentially irreversible harm to the relationship. Claire and Jamie thought nothing could ever break them apart after years of reasonable happiness together. However, Claire was keeping a pretty big secret hidden from Jamie, one that she knew would hurt him. A few months ago, she and a coworker engaged in more than innocent flirtation, coming close to starting an affair. Nothing happened, but she could no longer keep it bottled up inside her. Jamie did not take the news well and said he needed time to think over what to do next.
