Media personality and radio host Anele Mdoda, who is now known as Anele Mgudlwa, is stepping into an exciting new role as the host of a brand-new podcast. The podcast is part of The 1st for Women Podcast series and is titled The Anele Podcast: Her & Now.

The announcement was made through a joint Instagram post by Anele and 1st for Women, building anticipation among fans and followers. The post shared a powerful message about what listeners can expect from the show. It read, “It’s more than a podcast. It’s a reflection of real lives, real voices, and real truths. The Anele Podcast Her & Now launches this week. Keep an eye out… you won’t want to miss what’s coming!”

1st for Women is a tailored insurance company that supports South African women with cover for their car, home, life, and more. Their collaboration with Anele seems to be a natural fit, especially considering her strong voice and influence among women in the country.

Fans have already shown excitement about the upcoming podcast. Many took to social media to share their thoughts and support. One fan wrote, “Subscribed and waiting!! @zintathu. this is truly soooooo fitting.” Another added, “Come on now!!! This is definitely my faves year.” The positive reactions show just how much people are looking forward to hearing Anele in this new space.

It is only fitting that Anele was chosen to host the podcast. Not only is she a great media personality, but she also hosts the popular breakfast show, “Anele and the Club on 947.” In addition, she has been working closely with 1st for Women as their ambassador since 2023, marking three years of partnership.

When she was first appointed as the ambassador, Anele spoke about what the role meant to her. She said, “Partnering with a company that is focused on spreading the message of fearlessness to South African women makes absolute sense. Being fearless doesn’t mean living a life devoid of fear, but living a life in which our fears don’t hold us back. It’s about acting despite the fear and walking with freedom, strength and hope in the face of things unknown.”

She also highlighted the reality many women face in the country, adding, “South Africa is one of the most dangerous countries in the world to be a woman so it’s not about having nothing to fear but rather, knowing that we have the power to change our narrative from one of fear, to one of fearlessness,” explains Mdoda.

With such a strong message behind it, The Anele Podcast: Her & Now is expected to inspire, empower, and connect with many listeners across South Africa.
