Limpopo MEC Basikopo Makamu Visits Nkuri Traditional Council to Strengthen Farmer Support and Agricultural Development

The Limpopo MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Basikopo Makamu, has visited the Nkuri Traditional Council to pay a courtesy visit and introduce local Extension and Advisory Practitioners to Hosi Nkuri V. The visit forms part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with traditional leadership and improve agricultural support for farmers in the Greater Giyani Local Municipality. Following the courtesy visit, the MEC is proceeding to engage directly with local farmers at their farms in Ward 05 of the Hosi Nkuri area. This approach places farmers and their day-to-day agricultural needs at the centre of government service delivery. Through direct engagement, the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development aims to improve access to agricultural advice, strengthen local partnerships and support sustainable food production.
