Hurricane and Storm Surge Watches Posted for Mobile and Pensacola as Tropical Storm Isaias Strengthens in the Gulf

The National Hurricane Center on Wednesday morning issued a hurricane watch from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, to Indian Pass, Florida, and a storm surge watch stretching from the mouth of the Mississippi River to Yankeetown, Florida, as Tropical Storm Isaias began to organize over the southwestern Gulf. The watch area puts Gulfport, Biloxi, Mobile, Pensacola and Destin on notice that hurricane conditions are possible as early as late Friday.
